Bush blasts SCHIP

Pres. Bush's condemnation of the proposed revamping of S-CHIP is, in various places, flat-out wrong, misleading, irresponsible, and blatant fear-mongering.

What is even more disappointing is his attack on legislation that has broad bipartisan support.

Sigh.

Most ironically, the bill has the support of AHIP, the main health insurance lobby. The Blues probably support it as well.

So the insurance companies are saying to Bush: Hey, don't do us any favors.
